Daffodils

Daffodils are perhaps the most famous harbinger of spring. When these yellow flowers start to bloom, people all over the world get anxious for the start of a new season. In Holland flower bulb growers produce 1.500 hectare daffodils in over 1.000 varieties. It would be a mistake to assume that all daffodils are yellow. There are many beautiful white, salmon and orange daffodils. Most daffodils find their origin in the Mediterranean area and they are popular around the world.
